You are never going to believe the trick I played on my very own mother while I was at her house the other day. “Hey mom! Mom! Come here a minute! That’s what you could hear billowing through her house. My poor mother had no idea what was coming, and I wasn’t asking her where the meatloaf was.

I just finished Preacher, a 75 issue series by Garth Ennis (illustrated by Steve Dillon), and I wonder if I will ever find another series to match it in that hold-your-interest, make-you-want-to-rush-home-and-read quality. Oddly, it sat on my shelf for a few years.

Everyone likes to alleviate the tension in their lives and situations by taking help from some very funny and witty jokes. It might come as a surprise, but there is a specific target audience who are comedy fans. However, developing jokes is not an easy task; rather, it requires one to think and reframe the situations to induce humor in them.

With people seeking more ways and channels to add fun filled activities to their lives and lifestyles, some of the best humor has been developed to alleviate the stress levels from our lives. One can watch funny videos featuring the animals in funny situations from various sites on the World Wide Web. Not only have these videos provided a reason to people to laugh about but also, has helped in augmenting the web traffic to specific websites to an impressive level.

Out of the top 5 things I hate “being”, being sick probably fits in at number 2. Number one is a whole other discussion that I won’t get into, but let me just say, it involves a rubber chicken, three thimbles, and one of those shirts with the crocodile picture on it. I know… obvious isn’t it?

Going back to the 80’s era, a few sitcom programmes were aired on TV such as Basi & Co, Second chance, The New Masquerade, Koko Close, which thrilled the Nigerian viewers, especially Lagosians with various hilarious episodes. Sitcom was definitely “it”.

Every stress-filled job needs a little injection of humor to lighten the workday load. With deadlines zooming, quotas not being met, mistakes made, boss not pleased with your performance, co-workers complaining, and back-stabbing…some days the workplace can seem like nothing but one big self-esteem sucking machine.

Here I share with you some of the lighter moments I experience every day repairing Domestic Appliances. I love my customers and never forget I’d be nothing without them, but the things that happen to me sometimes need to be shared. I am among the luckiest people on the planet to have such a great job.
