Hat Care Tips

• Hats should be stored completely dry and upside down. This protects the shape of the brim.
  
  
• If your hat is to be stored for a longer period of time, cover it with a clean, light-weight cloth instead of plastic. This will prevent your hat from gathering dust, but will still allow fresh air circulation.
  
  
• If your hat gets wet, fold down the sweatband and stand the hat on it. Allow it to dry at room temperature, away from potential heat sources.
  
  
• Hats should be gently brushed every few months to remove any loose dust it may have accumulated.
  
  
• Should your hat become stained, don't attempt to clean it yourself. Professional cleaning will normally remove stains without damaging the color, fabric or shape of your hat.
  
  
• Beware of dry cleaners. Some of them no longer have the knowledge or equipment for proper hat cleaning and care.
  
  
• Since even the best hats have a tendency to shrink slightly, have it checked for fit and stretched periodically by a professional hatter.
